Around 500 thousand pounds of cash has been secured for Rotherham, to help deal with the town's homelessness problem.
It will see new officers recruited to work with the prison service, to help ex-offenders get access to housing once they're released. The cash will also fund a mental health worker to address other issues that can lead to rough sleeping.
It comes as Councillors heard details of a new strategy which aims to eradicate homelessness and rough sleeping in the town by the mid-2020s. A decision on whether to adopt the policy will be made on Monday.
