Reports of disabled hate crime up by a third in South Yorkshire

Reports of disability hate crime in South Yorkshire are up by a third.

New figures show despite the 32 per cent rise, there has been no increase in prosecutions.

John Cooper, from disability charity United Response, said: "We would like to see more being done by the police and by authorities to tackle this drastic fall in prosecutions. If crimes don't get punished then crimes will continue to rise."
