A Thurnscoe dinner lady who managed to keep her EuroMillions win secret from her family for five weeks is finally celebrating.
Paula Williamson found out she had won £1M from a lucky dip on the special EuroMillions draw from 1 March 2019.
She only told her husband, Geoff, after having the ticket in her purse for a week before she checked the numbers.
Paula wanted to wait until her son returned from Australia to celebrate with her family.
The 59 year old mother and grandmother has worked as a dinner lady at The Hill Private Academy in Thurnscoe for 20 years. She says she has no plans to retire yet.
She is planning to buy both of her sons, Jack and Ian, their own home. Paula told us she will treat herself to a new three piece suite and maybe buy a new car for Geoff.
The lucky dip was put on at Morrisons at Cortonwood.
